Lovin’ Laughs has been pretty stiff in his last couple in the city but showed his willingness to get the job done at Sandown this time. There is little tougher in racing than leading up the Hillside straight and that is exactly what he did to perfection. You could almost see him saying “Not this time” as they came at him in the last furlong as we worried that he might just miss again after doing the work in the straight.

Mental toughness and race fitness ensured he got there in the end putting in the 2nd quickest last 400 of the meeting. Jamie Mott earnt his pay in that last furlong making sure this bloke kept his mind on the job.

Lovin’ Laughs is building a solid record now with 4 wins and 3 seconds from 18 and has proved he is super competitive in his class in the city. He is also amassing some good prize money now for his wonderful owners.

We’ll look forward to trying to take the next step with him and if his attitude is anything to go by, he’ll get that job done too.
